Primary 7 BeeSafe Initiative
Our Primary 7 pupils spent an insightful day at Newry Leisure Centre participating in BeeSafe, a vital multi-agency initiative designed to foster community awareness and personal safety.
Led by the Newry, Mourne and Down District Council, this interactive programme uses fun, real-world scenarios to teach children how to navigate risky situations and stay safe. As our P7s prepare for the "big leap" to post-primary school, the event provided them with the practical tools and confidence they need to embrace their growing independence.
The timing of the event was ideal, as the Internet Safety segment linked perfectly with our school-wide celebrations for Safer Internet Week. The workshop reinforced our classroom lessons on digital citizenship, reminding the pupils that staying safe online is just as important as staying safe on the streets.
From fire safety to smart surfing, the children returned with a wealth of knowledge that will serve them well in their new schools and beyond.
