P4-5 Trip to the Palace Stables for Apple Week
21st Oct 2025
Our P4-5 pupils had an absolutely brilliant day out today for Apple Week at the Armagh Palace Stables! The children dove into the commercial journey of the apple, following its path all the way from the orchard to our homes. They had a fascinating, hands-on history lesson, seeing how apple juice was processed back in the 1700s and even mastering the skill of making delicious apple potato bread. After completing lots of fun crafts and playing apple-themed games, their day concluded with a special visit to St Patrick's Cathedral, where they paused to say a prayer at the statue of St Oliver Plunkett. The trip was a great experience enjoyed by all the children.
